Description

The lonely hours on the highway flew by. The only thing that mattered was the intoxication of speed. The monotonous hum of the engine drummed all thoughts about the filthy world out of your mind. But in the distance, the skyline of Manhattan began to rise more and more clearly into the sky. Harsh reality dragged your attention back from your carefree state of mind.

Suddenly the broad highway was squeezed between the facades of buildings. The contrast was like a slap in the face. The streets of New York were crammed with sluggish traffic, warning red lights and an impenetrable forest of street signs. Given the chance, you had never come to such a sardine can of a city. But you needed the money and a way of getting your life back on track. Your buddy said you would find your place here: “Nobody would ask who you are or where you come from!”
